The magical formula to deal with worry situations

I often face choices where I am in the state of indecision because of worry. So one day I decided to find out the solution and I came across this magical method to solve the worry situations. This method is used by personalities like Willis Carrier, who was the inventor of modern air conditioning. This is a three-step method, First, I will give you the method and then the example of an oil dealer who used this recipe to solve his worry situation. Step 1: Ask yourself What is the worst that could possibly happen? Step 2: Accept it mentally Step 3: Devote your energy to improve upon the worst which you had already accepted it mentally. Now I will tell you the story of an oil dealer who used this method to solve his worry situation. Assume the name of the oil dealer to be James. Back those days, there were restrictions on the quantity of oil you can sell to each customer. one day James found out that his certain delivery truck drivers were delivering oil short to

The Old Carpenter! How not to build a life?

A carpenter with years of experience, was ready to retire. He communicated his contractor about his plans to leave the house building business to live a more leisurely retired life with his wife and family. The contractor felt a little upset that his good and experienced carpenter was leaving the job, but he requested the carpenter to build just one more house for him. The carpenter agreed with the contractor but his heart was not in his work like it used to be. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials for building the last house of his career. It was an unfortunate way to end his career. When the carpenter completed the house and the employer came to inspect the house. He looked around the house and just before he exited the house he handed the front-door key to the carpenter. “This is your house,” he said, “my gift to you.” This was a huge surprise to the carpenter. Although it was supposed to be a good surprise, he wasn’t feeling good as he

Work Efficiently: The Pomodoro Technique

We are all excellent planners but when it comes to execution we have a lot of flaws. Perhaps you daily promise yourself that you will be at your work/study desk for 3 hours straight but it never seems to happen isn't it. At the end of each day, you regret. This time management trick will help you to focus on your task and do the real work instead of doing random things. In the Pomodoro method, you will work in 25 minutes chunk. After every 25 minutes, you will take a break for 5 minutes. You have to repeat this cycle 4 times. Before each cycle, you have to set a timer for 25 minutes and in these 25 minutes you should turn your phone off and avoid other distractions. In the end, it will look like this. ( 1 session = 25 minutes work + 5 minutes break  ) Session 1  25 minutes - work  5 minutes - break Session 2 25 minutes - work  5 minutes - break Session 3 25 minutes - work  5 minutes - break Session 4 25 minutes - work  5 minutes

THE LAW OF BELIEF

A young man from a small town who graduated from high school with straight A’s. He then    applied to the state university for admission. As part of the admissions procedure, he had to take the Scholastic Aptitude Test, like all the applicants to universities nationwide. A few weeks later, he    received a letter from the admissions department informing him that he had scored in the 99th percentile on the test and he was accepted for the fall semester. He was happy to be accepted but there was one problem. He didn’t know about percentiles and he concluded mistakenly that the  99th percentile was his IQ score. He knew that the average IQ  is 100 and he felt he could never do university-level work with his “limited” intelligence.                      For the entire fall semester he failed or nearly failed every course. Finally, his counselor called  him in and asked him why he was doing so poorly. “Well,” he said, “you can’t blame me.    I’ve only got a 99 IQ.” The counselor had the s
